A vibrant area with a lot going on within a five min radius; amazing coffee shops and eateries on Division Street and a super fast walk into the city centre for shops and bars. No need for busses or trams
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Management and staff are extremely fast to respond to any issues and maintenance is always at hand via the app.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
A good place for those living alone or new to the area; any worries I had about feeling lonely subsided when I moved in thanks to friendly staff and a neighbourly atmosphere in the building. On-site workshops and events mean you can meet your neighbours and get to know familiar faces. Area is central and there is a lot to discover on foot!

regarding the quality of life id say its a solid 10/10, the james is strategically places next to shops, restaurants and nightclubs. The convenience is the number one priority for me.

I wish the James would advertise more all the great events they host. It would definitely be a factor for me to move in.

Living at The James Sheffield has been a fantastic experience. The area offers a great balance of convenience and lifestyle. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars nearby, catering to various tastes and preferences. Open spaces like Weston Park provide great spots for relaxation and walks. Transport links are quite convenient, with frequent buses and the tram network making it easy to get around Sheffield. The street is lively (sometimes a bit loud at night), with Tesco conveniently nearby, and the University of Sheffield just a 2-5 minute walk away. A separate bin storage facility within the building ensures cleanliness and convenience. Overall, living here is highly enjoyable!

The building management has been highly responsive to any issues I’ve raised. They address concerns quickly and professionally, ensuring any problems are resolved in a timely manner. Their proactive approach has made living here smooth and hassle-free.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how vibrant and diverse the community is at The James. There are not only fitness activities like yoga and outdoor runs, but also music clubs, a book club, and opportunities to meet people from various backgrounds. It’s a great way to make new connections and share common interests. I’d highly recommend getting involved in these groups—they really enhance the experience and help you feel at home. The kitchen space in the studios is a bit small, which could be a challenge for anyone who loves cooking a lot. However, there is a larger kitchen available for booking at an additional cost, which is a great alternative if you need more space. Also, while parking can be a bit limited, there’s a Q-Park nearby, making it convenient for those who prefer driving. Plus, the location is fantastic for public transport, making getting around easy.

The James is located right in the centre of Sheffield. As someone who is not from here this is perfect as i am surrounded by all the best bits of Sheffield within walking distance. There is such a wide range of restaurants and bars in this area and such easy accessible transport right outside our doorstep.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Any problems/issues i have had have been resolved immediately and there is always someone to help and visit the property which i find very helpful and puts me at ease if any problems do occur!
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I find that the James is more than just an apartment building. The close knit relationships truly make this place feel like home along with the social events and general atmosphere of the place. For someone who is new to living alone and to the city, i could not have found a more perfect place and i am so grateful to have found the James
