Nice estate but requires more property maintenance

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very convenient for the A189 and commuting to work. Close enough to the town centre and very close to hospital. Traffic noise can be an issue from local youths on bikes. And grass not maintained at front of houses on main road by a different developer.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes they did however it took some time for some responses.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

That the strip of land in front of my house was owned by persimmon and that houses would be built on the field adjacent to my drive.

House designs vary throughout the estate but all designs are decent.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

No shops nearby. Great for bus links. No issues with parking as all houses have a drive. Builders are still here but the estate is quiet. Location suits me perfect as 2 minutes from the A189 and is a 15 minute walk from my son’s school. No problem in recommending the estate.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Total lack of communication.I have to keep asking for updates.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Bin day is Thursday.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Near hospital, busy in mornings when people going to and from work. People park in the estate when going to the hospital instead of paying prices for the car park. Asda is not far away and there are local shops near by. Right next to bus stops wich is an advantage for people who do not drive.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, any issues that were reported were responded too straightaway and were sorted if could be.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would take into consideration the size of the property for practical reasons

Good looking estate, competitively priced and ideal links to transport networks.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The development is in a good location for hospital workers and those travelling the spine road and onto the a1 / a19 and beyond. It is close enough to Ashington for its shops however far enough away to be a fair distance from what Ashington can bring (many issues). The estate is nice and parking is not an issue as is generally for your plot only. Neighbours are all friendly and we generally don't have much anti social issues as the estate is away on its own. There are no open spaces here however and no shops / bars within the estate.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yep any issues raised were sorted in a good time. Had no issues with management.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The lack of greenery for kids to play on or dogs to walk.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Lovely quiet estate on the outskirts of Ashington. Close to the local shops and great location for travelling to other areas.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes they did, however it took a few chase ups to get some issues resolved.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I didn't know that I would have to buy my wheelie bins. This could be something that is organised by Gleeson in future.
