8 water street is ideal, there are a variety of shops and restaurants within a 30 second walk. Quiet.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Very helpful and issues are resolved within 48 hours

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The utilities provider is not the best, they overcharge and it’s difficult to get them on the phone

Perfect location - close to the water, restaurants, grocery stores, beautiful gyms, great tube lines, etc. The flat is also quiet and neighbourhood is among the safest in London.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

When day-to-day building issues come up, they've been helpful, but when any contractual / lease related questions or issues come up, their service has only extended to the limit of how much money they can extract out of me. Candidly, it is among the worst service I've received for what otherwise is presented as a "premium" offering.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I knew that they would withdraw many of the incentives they offered to sign. Third Space gym benefit? Gone, replaced with an embarrassingly small gym. All inclusive services? Gone, have to pay for each independently. The list goes on..

As a younger resident- I find the open spaces very relaxing and well maintained. I have never had any transportation issues and I find it really easy to navigate. I love that the building is recycling and has trash bags that are eco friendly. There is zero outside noise except from airplanes which you do hear once in a while.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

When I had a problem they usually fixed it in a matter of days.

The whole area around us is very safe and guarded.

Location is great. It’s close to transport links. Food and household essentials are easy find in the malls close by. The area is generally safe to walk around at night but there’s knife crime up the street. Noise is acceptable if you keep the windows close otherwise you will hear people talking and laughing, and the street being washed at night.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, responses are prompt. Whether it addresses or resolves to the tenant satisfaction is another thing. Repairs are usually fix quickly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Third Space memberships are only provided limited time. Utilities have high fixed running cost. The building facilities will be shared with residents from other building. Noise is only acceptable when the windows/balcony doors are closed. 8 Water Street is not the only building that is pet friendly in the same area, there are private landlords that accept pets in the next building.

Dear Jo, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. With regards to the change in wellness offering at 8 Water Street we are aware these have not been well received by our residents however communication had been made at the point an alternative offering was being explored, and again once a decision had been made on the change to the offering. Again, whilst we acknowledge some residents are not happy with these changes we have given reasonable notice and agreed to extend Third Space membership until the end of April. The new gym is taking shape and we look forward to sharing some images of the progress with our residents soon. We are sorry to hear you feel the sharing of amenity spaces between 10 George Street and 8 Water Street is a negative change. We feel this sharing of spaces has been well received and is helping to foster a wider Vertus community across our buildings. Security remains a priority within our buildings and our 24 hour Concierge team are on hand to ensure our residents continue to feel their buildings are safe and secure. Thank you again for your feedback, whilst we appreciate your dissatisfaction with the changes we have made we are committed to ensuring our residents have the best rental experience with us and always welcome and encourage feedback on how we can improve our service. Ideal for commuting with good local amenities though comparative to other areas of the city. You have the best supermarkets in the country (Tian Tian, Waitrose, M&S). A local GP, Bupa, Vet and other major utilities. Most of the area is dog friendly and very safe compared to the wider city. Transport links are good with 4 alternatives into and out of the city.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Any need for maintenance has been resolved quickly however complaints on utility company is ignored. We've raised several and they simply fall silent. The poor management of this is the number one reason we are leaving given the costs are 4X the average in the London

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I would have like to know the average costs by apartment for utilities. We've gone from £65 a month to over £400 on average, and this apartment is smaller than our last.
