Drummond Way (which is what Barnsbury Place was re-named when it was completed) is a great place to live. It’s close to the tube, London Overground (Caledonian Road & Barnsbury is just a 5 min walk and links up to many places) and several bus routes. Arundel Sq park and several leafy of garden squares are just a few mins walk away. Despite the quiet location it’s just a short walk to lots of shops, bars and restaurants in Upper Street. Barnsbury is a great area to live in. It has a community (almost village) feel with leafy roads and several parks. There are some great local businesses, and it has two great pubs (with beer gardens) that are usually voted as among the top 10 pubs in London. Barnsbury feels almost like a secret – it’s tucked away but is still really close to the hubbub of Islington.

The only issue we have had with Mount Anvil is that they refused to help out with queries we had about the flat after we’d bought it. When you spend the best part of a million quid on somewhere that they built you’d hope they’d show a bit more interest…!

What is the best feature of your home:

The living toom is on the top (ground) floor, and the bedrooms are below (lower ground) meaning they are warm in winter and cool in summer.

Great service, location adn outside space, calm and greenery in city with concierge and gates

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

promptly, no major issued encountered just day to day, each concierge was friendly, professional and efficient and helpful to figure out issues

how close to the Angel and the great buses for shopping (148)

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Very near Highbury & Islington station and Upper Street, with all their shops and restaurants, yet on a one-way street (on the side where my property is situated) and away from traffic, which ensures quiteness.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Gates to the Estate are locked at night, which is good for security, but they cannot be opened from the properties, so one has to rely on concienrge or go out and open them directly.

Please share one thing (or more) which you would change about your development:

I would not change anything about my property, other than the carpet!

Barnsbury is the conservation area of Islington, so it is particularly green and leafy. When considering this is in Zone 1, its very impressive. I can do all of my shopping around here, there are supermarkets, high street shops and independent retailers. I feel very secure here. However, in my opinion, it doesn’t always gel well to have social housing within developments such as these.

The management and sales team were very clear about how everything would be before I moved here.

What is the best feature of your home:

My flat is very spacious and I love how much natural light it has.
