Durham is excellent and the central location of the development means shops and amenities are easily accessed.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes; reluctantly and only after repeated enquiries and escalating to health and safety.

The poor customer service of Charles church as a home developer.

Very close to the city centre so all of Durham is accessible. Sadly; building still on going and communication from site management is exceptionally poor

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Mostly yes but in some cases reluctantly. It took them six visits to deal with cracks that had appeared in the house. And three visits to fix a leaking toilet!

Not a lot to share; quite obvious that the site is still being built.

Excellent location walking distance to city centre. Estate is starting to house students large groups of noisy adolescents possible.

Wish been prepared for so many initial issues which took so long to be sorted. Some issues 2 years on awaiting attention.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

Great location in town centre but also surrounded by greenery and wildlife. Whilst parking is available it isn’t enough for the estate plus visitors.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Variable. We are still waiting on a front door that was reported as requiring replacement 8 months ago. Other aspects were fixed immediately.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

The house will not be perfect as you might expect with a new build and there will be problems with house essentials such as plumbing and electricity. For example if a contractor cuts the mains electricity supply at 4pm by accident, they will not stay to repair it.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

I am very happy with the development and location. It is central, quiet, and has a friendly atmosphere.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, they have. Initial snagging issues were promptly dealt with. However, I am a bit disappointed with the extremely slow service from customer care for issues arising during the two year warranty.

It would have be good to have plans of structural walls, piping etc.
