Great modern flat

Shakes W (Tenant)

Sept 2024

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The flat is really cozy with an excellent location. It is at the centre of Edinburgh and is only around 1 min to the Canal Walk River. Several shops including Tesco, Sainsbury's, two Asian shops are within 5 min walking distance. There is also a lot of restaurants and bars nearby.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

There are two ways of doing so. One way is that we have a residence website which we can raise issues there such as maintenance or book a communal lounge... Another way is to directly message our property manager, Agata. They mostly reply and sort all issues very quickly. Even sometimes they are busy, they always make a list and get back to me asap.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Nothing actually. This building is very famous and if you get a chance, take it.

The area is very central and you have access to everything you need walking distance

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:

The area is very central and you have access to everything you need walking distance. If you need to get a bus, there is a wide range available from different bus stops no further than 5 mins away. Parking is an issue however as you cannot apply for a street permit. There is no traffic noise nor anti social behaviour, on sunny days and weekends the place is very lively, making you want to step out of your flat and join.

How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:

Yes, management reply quickly and communication regarding repairs is very clear.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

I wish I would’ve known that I couldn’t apply for street permit parking.
